Over thirty-five years ago, residents of the Alexandria area contributed thousands of dollars (approximately $500,000) to build a TV translator system. The money was used to build three towers and transmission equipment. The area had one dependable channel at the time.
Selective TV is transmitted over the air and is not delivered by cable or satellite. In most cases you need an outside antenna to receive the signal we provide.
Contributions received are used for repairs, upgrading equipment, insurance, land leases, etc.
Selective TV is a non-profit organization operating with funds donated by the viewers. Currently our dues are $100 per year, but any amount is welcome.
